Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween although, it wasn’t the same without Daddy. Every year Daddy has always been the one to take our little darlings trick or treating. It seemed that I always had class on Halloween night.

We started celebrating on Friday with a wonderful party at church, we had so much fun with all of our friends and family.

Saturday we decided that we must keep the Maygren Family tradition and have doughnuts and apple cider so we went up to Darby apple and got our doughnuts and cider. Since…I always have to put a twist on everything I decided that we couldn’t have our doughnuts unless we could get them hanging from a string, using only our mouths. It was so much fun! We also decided why not, lets bob for apples, so we did. As you can see some of us not only bobbed for apples but decided to play in the water as if it were 100 degrees outside.

Overall it was a fantastic weekend but there was definitely a piece missing. It wasn’t the same without you Daddy! We Love You!!!

The Price of Freedom

My sister Heather married into an amazing family with so much talent I don't even know where to begin to start. One of her brother-in-laws was just in a concert/production called, The Price of Freedom. It is a documentary of World War II soldiers, the dialogue between the actors are actual letters that were written between the battlefield and home. I enjoyed this concert so much I wanted to share it with all of you. The link to the the website about the show is http://www.spiremusic.org/tpof/

I also wanted to attach a video of her brother-in-law singing about an amazing true story of a soldier saving the life of another soldier. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Lake Oconee

We just got back from an amazing weekend getaway at Lake Oconee. At the last minute we decided to go fishing for the weekend and were fortunate enough to rent an adorable lake side cottage. Everyone enjoyed the house...Bryce could fish all day and all night (literally), while Elise and the kids enjoyed the beautiful scenery and played by the lake. We met really nice people, ate good food and enjoyed everything the lake had to offer. Wish you could have all been there. Enjoy the photos.
