Lily's Birthday Week...

What a fun filled birthday week!!!  It all began with Grandma and Papa “M,” being here the week of Thanksgiving, we had so much fun!   Lily was able to open presents and she even blew out candles on a piece of pumpkin pie topped off with frosting and sprinkles.  Since this was her first year in school we thought it would be fun to have party and since her good friend’s birthday was just a few days before Lily’s we decided to have a joint birthday, pizza party.  On the day of the party Grandma and Papa Tasha flew in from CA and we put them right to work.  We had lots of fun and ate too much birthday cake.  Below are some fun photos to share….

Happy Halloween!

Thankfully, Fort Gordon had trick-or-treating on Friday since we didn’t want to go on Sunday.  This made the Halloween celebration extra long, but fun.  On Friday, Daddy took the kids trick-or-treating around our neighborhood.  Afterwards we indulged ourselves with the yummy Maygren tradition of doughnuts and apple cider….and boy was it good!  Saturday we had fun making Grandma Jean popcorn balls and caramel apples and have been enjoying them ever since.  Saturday evening we got another candy fix (like we really needed it) by trunk or treating at our old church building.  Sunday we ended our celebration by having dinner by our carved pumpkin - candle light.  All and all we had lots of fun and now have way to much candy in the house.
